Psi Mu Honored at Chi Omega Convention

Chi Omega’s 58th Biennial Convention was held this summer right here in Orlando. Sisters from all over the country came together for a week full of workshops, sisterhood, food and fun!

Psi Mu, along with the Upsilon Beta chapter from nearby Rollins College, took on the role of host chapters for all Chi Omegas attending. As part of our hosting duties, our chapter president, Annie Rae Roeding (PC ’07), was asked by the Governing Council to say grace at the first night’s welcome dinner.

Joining Annie at the Convention workshops were our chapter’s Treasurer, Alisha Mays (PC ’08), and Vice President, Anne Wilsen (PC ’07).

Psi Mu was honored with two awards at this year’s Convention. The first was an honorable mention in the highest amount of dollars raised through Persephone’s Circle, a scholarship fund for collegiate Chi Omegas. The second was an Award of Excellence in Financial Management.

Many members of our chapter were able to get involved with Convention as volunteers, or by attending a special ceremony in which our 300,000th sister was initiated.

“Meeting women from other chapters who shared the same values I did was comforting. Convention reaffirmed my belief  that all Chi Omegas are sisters, whether you have met them or not, and this organization is truly something wonderful to be a part of.” – Annie Rae Roeding
